Year 3 Home Learning – Thursday 16th July

Good morning Year 3.

Can you believe it is the last day of term? Thank you for being such a wonderful class.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful gifts. I feel very spoilt and I am going home to enjoy a pamper tonight and will sneak to the shops over the weekend.

I am sorry we did not get to spend more time together in the classroom this year but will make I come and see you next year. Enjoy your last official day of being Year 3!

For your English task today, I would like you to become jail-breakers! I have put some dull adjectives in jail for being too boring. I would like you to think of different adjectives for each word which means the same thing. You can use a thesaurus if you are struggling. When you have finished this, I would like you to put your favourite adjective from each prisoner into a sentence.

In maths today, I would like you use the time. There are a range of clocks, each showing different times throughout a fun day in the holidays. Use the clocks to work out what the children did throughout the day.

Year 3 Home Learning – Wednesday 15th July

Good morning Year 3.

I hope you are enjoying your summer filled tasks this week and they are getting you ready for the summer holidays.

Today, you will be creating a Preposition Postcard. Look at each picture and write a sentence about what is happening, making sure you use a preposition or prepositional phrase (I have included a bank of prepositions to help you).

For your math task, you are going to be transported to a Beach Cafe. I would like you to work out how much each customer has spent using the menu and prices given.

I would like you to complete some Summer Fractions, use the sheet and make a fraction sentence for each picture. When you have done that, draw some summer-themed pictures to go with the different fraction sentences.

As our week is all about summer, I would like you to draw a sandcastle picture, ready to make when you next go to the beach!

Enjoy the rest of your day.
