Year 2

Pirate Fun Day

Pirate Fun Day

Year 2 had a fantastic day today. It began by the children sharing the pirate ships they had made at home to the rest of the class. The children explained how they made their ship, what they used and who helped them.

The children then worked hard making pirate treasure maps and enjoyed a pirate picnic in the school garden.

The day ended with the families and friends of Year 2 coming into school to see our achievements through the project. The children showcased their ships, shared the work we’ve done and ended by singing some pirate songs. Well done to all of Year 2!

Seaside Fun!

Year 2 had a fantastic day at South Shields beach last week. The sun shone brightly and the children had lots of dun; building sandcastles, digging holes, splashing in the sea and playing games.

Habitat Hunt

Habitat Hunt

Year 2 have had a fantastic afternoon in our school garden looking for living organisms and their habitats. The children were able to find lots and took great care to make sure they did not disturb the habitat.

Well done year 2!
