Year 2 Home Learning – Monday 1st June

Good morning Year 2,

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful half term holiday and have enjoyed some of the lovely sunshine.

Today in English you will write a letter to your friends in Year 2 telling them about some of the things you have been doing during lock-down. Mrs Humble and I have both written you a letter telling you about some of the things we have done, so these may give you some ideas.

In maths today I have given you a ‘target number’ to make from a selection of other numbers. You can add, subtract or multiply the numbers to find the ‘target number’.  You may have to do two operations to get there! I have included an example which I’m sure will help you. Give it a go … I think you’ll all manage this challenge very well!

Also, because it’s Monday, I have also uploaded your next set of spellings to start learning. Remember to keep coming back to these everyday to help you remember and learn these words. It may be a good idea to write these words in sentences to ensure that you spell them correctly!

Finally, for those of you who love to do art activities, I have also attached a link to a video explaining some great ways to create a rainbow picture. Remember that a rainbow symbolises ‘hope’ , and we are all hopeful that we can meet again soon.

Have a wonderful day!

Mrs Gourley 🙂
