Year 2 Home Learning – Friday 5th June

Happy Friday Year 2!

Today’s tasks are all geography related. The first thing I’d like you to do is to remind yourself of the difference between human and physical features of an area. We’ve looked at this a couple of times in class already, so hopefully you’ll remember.

Then there is an activity for you to complete which involves sorting many features of the UK into human and physical features.

At some point over the weekend, you may get the opportunity to go out for a walk with an adult. I’d like you to look for features in your local area and decide if they are human or physical features. Keep a tally chart of the physical and human features you spot.

Then when you get home you can draw a map of your walk, drawing and labeling the human and physical features on your map. Using your tally chart you can also create a block graph to show how many human and physical features you spotted.

Finally, you may want to get creative! I’d like you to design a flag for your local area. Draw some of the human and physical features you spotted on your walk onto your flag.
