Happy Friday Year 2,
That’s another week that seems to have flown by!
Today we will complete a comprehension task all about Roald Dahl. Remember Roald Dahl is very famous for writing some fantastic children’s books; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, George’s Marvellous Medicine, Matilda, Fantastic Mr Fox and many many more.
I have also found a video with Quentin Blake, the illustrator to many of Roald Dahl’s books. In the video he teaches you how to draw Mr Willy Wonka. Give it a go …. I’ve tried too!
Also today or perhaps over the weekend I’d like you to complete some geogrpahy work. You’ll need to go for a little walk around your local area – make sure that an adult is with you.
When you are walking I’d like you to look for some features in your area; school, church, shop, bus stop, post box, petrol station, park etc. First I’d like you to keep a tally of how many of each feature you spot. Then I’d like you to draw a symbol to represent each feature which you will then put onto a map of your walk. Finally I’d like you to draw a block graph which shows how many of each feature you spotted.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs Gourley 🙂
