Year 2 Home Learning – Tuesday 7th July

Good Morning Year 2,

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed doing your transition task yesterday for Mrs Bishop.

Today in English we are going to learn about a local hero Grace Darling. I’m not going to give too much away, I’d like you to find out as much as you can about her.  First you can look at the Powerpoint I have created.

Then you can watch two short video clips; click here and here to watch them.

Here’s an extra fact you’ll not learn online. Grace Darling is actually a very distant aunt to Mr Knox!

Now you should have learnt lots of facts about Grace Darling. Can you complete the fact sheet below?

GRACE DARLING NOTES

In maths today we will continue to work with money. Today you will explore making money values using the fewest number of coins. Remember that the word fewest means smallest amount. Watch the video first before you begin your task.
