Year 3 Home Learning – Monday 8th June

Good morning and welcome to another week of home learning.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are feeling nice and refreshed. I wanted to say a huge well done for all of the work you have done so far and well done for keeping going. I am very proud of you all. Thank you to those who have sent me work, I love seeing it and don’t forget you can comment below to tell me what you have been up to.

Today, your English task is a comprehension linked to one of our science topics. The subject is Weeds and Seeds, which science topic do you think this is? Well done if you guessed right – it is plants!

Your maths this week will focus on time. We are going to begin with using the 12 hour clock. For the first part of the questions, you need to read the clock and write the time, then you will read the time and put the correct hands on the clock. Do not forget the hour hand is shorter than the minute hand.

I would like you to spend 15 minutes reading your favourite book today. Comment below and let me know what you are reading.

  2. Hi Mrs Bishop

I read The giraffe, the pelly and me for 20 minutes today. The duke was shouting at the monkey, he was not very nice.
Have you been reading any good books?

    Stay safe, Paddy

    • Hi Patrick.
I havenโ€™t read The Giraffe, The Pelly and Me. I will have to put it on my list to see what this Duke is like! I’ve just finished an alternative version to the Little Mermaid, it was a good book. I do enjoy reading.
      Hope to see you soon.
      Mrs Bishop
