Year 4 Home Learning – Monday 4th May

Happy Star Wars Day Year 4… May the fourth be with you πŸ™‚

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend?

This week in English we are going to be looking at poetry using some beautiful poems from a book called, ‘I Am The Seed That Grew The Tree’ which is a collection of poems all about nature. To hear me reading the poems we are looking at today, click on the video link below. After viewing, open the English worksheet below and work your way through, completing all three tasks as best you can.

English – Nature Poems

In Maths, we are continuing our work looking at fractions. Again, try your hardest and when you are finished, check your answers using the answer sheet. If you get any incorrect, make sure you check where you went wrong.

Maths – Counting in Fraction

Also our Times Tables Rockstars Tournament against Year 3 starts today… get challenging! COME ONE YEAR 4!!!!!!!

Hope you have a great day. And remember, if you want to share the poem you have written today send it to

Take care,

Mrs Myers

    • Hello again! Alexander I love your rainbow poem, it’s so well written. I particularly liked the line, ‘The rainbow does not let us give up the fight’ It made me think about how we are all helping to keep each other safe and because we are, one day in the future we will all be together again at school πŸ™‚ I’m looking forward to that time so much. Thank you for sharing and keep up the excellent work!
