Good morning Year 4,
Firstly, I want to say thank you to everyone I caught up with yesterday – it was so lovely to talk with you all and hear about everything you’ve been up to! Sorry, to those I didn’t get to, I will be continuing my calls today so hopefully speak with you soon 🙂
This is the last day of work for this week because of course tomorrow is a Bank Holiday to celebrate VE Day. So, as well as your usual Maths and English work, I’ve included some VE Day activities for you to do in preparation for tomorrow…
In English, complete tasks 1 and 2 on the worksheet below (they’re both short) and then watch the video link below to hear me read today’s poems. After that, answer the questions set and then write your own poem. Here’ a link to animal poetry for further inspiration https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zjftsbk
In Maths, we’re finding quantities of a fraction – remember to read the instructions before attempting the work.
And here’s your VE Day activities. VE Day – which stands for Victory in Europe Day – marks the day the Second World War came to an end and this year we are celebrating the 75th Anniversary. I hope you enjoy yourselves tomorrow and have a fantastic weekend.
See you Monday.
PS… Remember our Times Tables Rockstars Challenge… go for it Year 4!! You’ve got this 🙂
And remember if you’re keen to keep learning, here is a wonderful website that provides lessons for all year groups. This link takes you directly to lessons for year 4 https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom/year-4#schedule
