Year 4 Home Learning – Tuesday 5th May

Good Morning Year 4,

Today in English we continue our work on poetry by looking at shape poems, particularly how writers might use the shape of the poem to reflect what they are writing about. Before watching today’s video, open the English worksheet below and complete questions 1-3. When you have done this, watch the video and then complete the rest of the tasks.

English – The Shape of Poems

In Maths we are going to be adding fractions. Make sure you read the instructions and examples on the worksheet which remind you how to do this before attempting each set of questions. The worksheet includes challenges if you want to test yourself!

If you would like to share any of the poems you write you can email them to if you write a rainbow poem, or create anything else rainbow related you can send it to (more info below).

Spreading Rainbow Joy

The pictures we have received so far are excellent and we would like many more to add to our wonderful rainbow montage, which we plan to post to the school website on Friday. Please try to send in your entries for this weeks Rainbow challenge by Thursday. I look forward to seeing all of your great rainbow work.

Have a lovely day everyone 🙂

Mrs Myers.

P.S. Remember our TT Rockstars Challenge against Year 3… keep battling!
