Good morning Year 4!
Welcome to July… let’s hope for lots of sunshine 🙂
Today we are going to continue our work around perimeter in Maths. If you’re finding it a bit difficult, have a look at the ‘A bit stuck’ page as it includes an exercise that can help you with your understanding.
In English, now that you have a superhero character, today we are going to focus on writing a setting for your story which you will write later in the week. First, the worksheet gives you a extract from My Brother Is a Superhero – the book we were reading yesterday – and asks you to complete two tasks in your book.
Remember an adjective is a word used to describe a noun. An adverb is a word that adds further information to a verb, telling the reader how, when or where something happened (e.g. gently, quietly, suddenly, then, there.) I have included an adverb word bank to help you.
In task 3 you get to write your own setting to go with the superhero character you created yesterday. Remember to read the worksheet carefully. Enjoy your work today 🙂
And here are your spellings for this week. We are looking at commonly misspelled words. As well as learning each word, practise using each correctly in a sentence.
Have fun everyone!
