Good morning Year 4!
How many times – this week alone – have you been told, “Don’t do that!”? Well today we are going to look at another of Michael Rosen’s poems called, Don’t. I hope you enjoy it! (scroll to the bottom of this post to hear him read it.)
Then you are going to write your own poem called, Don’t. I don’t think I need to give you any ideas today because you’ve probably been told not to do loads of things, so your brains will already be full 🙂
Just remember your poem doesn’t have to be too long (although 2 lines is too short!) and you don’t have to worry to much about it rhyming. Just write what comes into your head and have fun. The mindmap below will help you to plan out your poem and the ideas and words you might use.
In Maths today we are doing some work about shape. Which 2D shape names and properties can you remember? Challenge yourself to see… we are starting with a focus on triangles.
