Hello Year 5.
It’s the first day of the new month and a really special day for my family and I because today is Jonah’s 5th birthday. Best wishes to those who have also had a birthday during lock down.
It was so lovely to talk to you all yesterday. I really enjoyed catching up with you and hearing all about the fun things you have been doing from 13 mile bike rides to playing Monopoly, it certainly sounds like you are all keeping busy and active. I am also glad to hear that you are enjoy your home learning. If I was unable to contact you yesterday, I will be ringing you next week.
Here are your tasks for today:
I would like you to add and subtract fractions.
I would like you to use the checklists and the word mat below to create your own adventure story. You can write about anything you want. If you are struggling with an initial idea, I thought it would be great to write a story about a brother and sister who go exploring in the woods and discover a mysterious tunnel…
You don’t have to cover everything on the checklist, this is just a guide.
Following on from yesterday, I would like you to watch the video again, this time try to write your own name in bubble writing or you could write a ‘Thank you NHS’ sign. You could even try some of the graffiti writing styles below. Have fun.
Finally, I received a wonderful card yesterday at school from Harry Spoors, it really cheered up my day. Thank you so much Harry, this will be proudly displayed in my window at home for all to see.
Take care everyone, enjoy the weekend.
