Good morning Year 5.

Here is your online learning for today.

Maths task:

Today we are continuing with sequences and patterns, this time using larger numbers. In Year 5 we are expected to read and write numbers up to one million! Don’t forget you can use your addition and subtraction skills to find the difference between two numbers.

Having spent the last two days developing a greater understanding of subordinate clauses and extending sentences, here is your final worksheet. Make sure you read the instructions carefully and follow the example given.

Extending Sentences by Adding Subordinate Clause Activity

Here is something for you to try out at home if you have a magnet. Follow the presentation below, get a clean bottle and draw a maze on it. Then use a paperclip, place it in the bottle and guide it around the maze using a magnet. Try different materials inside the bottle and make a note if they are magnetic.

If you don’t have a magnet at home, just design mazes. This is something I loved to do when I was your age. Have fun!

Take care everyone.
