Year Six Home Learning Wednesday 13th May

Good Morning,

As a school community, we would like to share all of your VE day celebrations and activities. So, if you have any photographs could you please email them to by the end of the school day on Friday 15th May. Could we please also ask that you use ‘VE Day photo’  as the subject of the email?

Many thanks and we look forward to seeing your celebrations.

Back to some science today and how and why man ( woman ) has evolved. There are some fun tasks to try at home, with your family and hopefully afterwards you will have an understanding of why early man progressed from four legs to two !

Bipedal tasks

Bipedal answers

The maths today is a revision on co-ordinates in 4 quadrants.

This is something we did at the beginning of the year. The link below will take you to a Secondary part of bitesize but we know you are capable to doing the work. Use the video and explanation to help. The first activity is for everyone and the second and third if you want a bit more of a challenge. ( Go on, try them all ! )

Earth Squad Go

This link takes you to a Science game.  . . . .

Play as Lava, Geo, River or Sky, join the Earth Squad and explore our planet’s habitats. Work your way from Rookie to Pro on each of the game’s habitats: the vibrant rainforest, the busy city and the wild savannah. You’ll need to use your knowledge of the living world as you collect data and master your knowledge on plants, animals and the human body. Unlock challenge badges, catch vine and swing ropes, boost your star score and earn your Earth Squad Pro outfit with this platform game.

Have a go !
