Year Six Home Learning – Monday 22nd June

Good morning Year 6

We hope you’ve all had a good weekend. Thanks to those children, who have sent in their Year book memories. They are great to read and we are looking forward to collating the Year Book. If you haven’t emailed them yet, please send them to stellay6yb@gmail.com as soon as possible.

This is our second week based around the history of flight, as well as still having ‘a flavour’ of Mexico, in English and an investigation to finish off our Science Inheritance topic

Maths

Maths today reminds you how you can use mental methods to solve a lot of calculations. If you find it really difficult, use a written method. Remember to use the appropriate sheets to help and challenged yourself too.

Building on your research notes, linked to Mexican Cuisine, today you are going to start designing a menu, for a new Mexican restaurant that’s opening-obviously after restrictions have been released. You will have two days to complete this task. Complete section 1 and 2 today.

  1. Evan that’s a lovely idea, but I don’t know if it would be possible. But I’ll certainly discuss it with Miss White tomorrow.

I do know that we’re not allowed to use Zoom in school, as it’s not data protected, but there maybe something else.
