School Council visit the Houses of Parliament

Our local MP Mr Dave Anderson invited our School Councillors to visit the Houses of Parliament on Monday 29th September.

We caught the 7.04 train from Newcastle and arrived at Kings Cross Station at 11.00 a.m.

We had a fantastic day visiting the Houses of Parliament. We visited the House of Lords, the House of Commons and saw the chair where the Speaker sits.

After our tour of the Houses of Parliament we visited Horseguards and watched the changing of the guard.

We also went to Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace but unfortunately the Queen wasn’t at home.
