The School Council visit Parliament

On Thursday 6th October, we set off on the 8am train from Newcastle to London to visit the Houses of Parliament.  As we had some Harry Potter enthusiasts  among us, we headed straight to Platform 9¾!  After that we took the tube to Charing Cross to see Trafalgar Square and set off down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace. After lunch in St James Park, we made our way to Parliament.  We had a fantastic guide who took us to both the House of Lords and the House of Commons.  We even visited the Queen’s private entrance!  Then we joined up with another school council and took part in a workshop about the State Opening of Parliament.  We hope you enjoy looking at our photos.
