Year One visited Beamish museum yesterday to experience what it would be like to have Christmas in the olden days. We visited Pockerley Mannor where we engaged in the activities such as biscuit making, Christmas card and decoration making and played some fun Christmas games, such as charades and pin the tail on the donkey.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, despite the very cold weather!
In the afternoon, we were very lucky to meet Father Christmas! He talked to us about Christmas eve and asked everyone what they would like for Christmas. He wished us a Merry Christmas and gave us a present each and also some reindeer food to feed the reindeer he had brought with him.
We really enjoyed our day and we are all very excited for Christmas!
