Year 1 had a special visit from a chef! He first told us to wear aprons and chef hats to keep clean. We were all given a task to do to chop or peel different vegetables. We found out we were making Gruffalo crumble! We cut red onion into spikes for the Gruffalo’s prickly back and cut sweet potato for his nose! While we were waiting for the vegetables to cook the chef read the story of the Gruffalo to us, we loved joining in. Once the crumble was ready we all had a taste. It was delicious!
