In Maths today, Year 1 have been measuring using a non-standard measure, cubes. They were challenged to find different items around their classroom to measure. They firstly estimated how many cubes long the item would be and then they measured the items accurately remembering what they had be taught. All the children started measuring in the correct place, they left no gaps in the cubes, measured in a straight line and stopped measuring when they had reached the end of the item.
Year 1 did a fantastic job. Well done girls and boys!
