In R.E., Year 1 have been learning about Baptism and the importance of this in the Catholic church. We started off by talking about why parents and carers might want their children baptised and what Baptism actually means for Christians. We then looked at how the act of Baptism is carried out by the priest and learned about the different symbolic meanings.
The children then used what they had learned in the lesson to Baptise some baby dolls. The children took this very seriously and acted out their roles brilliantly!
