Year 1 – Computing algorithms

This week in Computing, we learnt a really difficult word – algorithm! We soon discovered that an algorithm was simply a set of instructions used to programme things. We were experts at this as we had been learning about instructions in our English lessons. We went outside and made some algorithms to direct people around an obstacle course. Sometimes we got our instructions right and sometimes we got them wrong, very wrong! When we got them wrong, we learned that we had to correct them and this was called ‘debugging’! Great job girls and boys!
