Inspiration from the Greats – Seascapes

This week in art the children have looked at some of the work from the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. The children learnt a little bit about the life of Van Gogh and then looked closely at some of this famous pieces. The children spent some quality time looking at the some of his famous seascapes and were able to respond to this by exploring some key words that come to mind as they look at it.

Some of the vocabulary that the children explored was; cold, wet, stormy, crashing, booming, ripples, swell, gloomy.
