Materials Hunt

Materials Hunt

Year 2 started their new topic in science by going on a materials hunt around school. The children were looking for objects in the school grounds made from; wood, plastic, glass, metal, fabric and paper. When the children found an object made form this material they had to touch it and think of some of their properties. They were able to use many words to describe the properties; rough, smooth, hard, soft, rigid, flexible, dull, shiny, transparent, opaque etc.
