Year Three have changed their Focal Point to mark the beginning of Advent and our preparations for Christmas.
We have changed the cloth to the colour purple, this reminds us that Jesus is soon to be born.
We have also added the crib, awaiting the baby Jesus – another reminder we are in a time of preparation.
The children have also created a Jesse Tree. The Jesse Tree represents Jesus’ Royal ancestors as prophesied in the Old Testament.
Each day in advent we will reflect by reading a Bible passage linked to one of his ancestors. Today we shared the story of the Flood and Noah’s Ark.
We have also been looking at the symbol of the advent wreath and how it represents Gods everlasting and unchanging love.
