Year 4 have been learning about the Tudors in their creative curriculum topic. A trip was organised early in the Summer term to Washington Old Hall as a celebration of all of the children’s hard work and achievements .
The children had lots of fun and learnt many things about life during Tudor times.
The day began with the children each putting on a costume so that they all felt like a “real Tudor.”
The children went into the manor house and learnt about kitchens, food and dining during Tudor times.
The children then headed out into the garden to learn about some of the jobs of some of the poorer Tudors.
Following this, a lady and lord of the manor were chosen and then they lead us into the dinner hall for lunch where were were able to share a Tudor banquet together.
We then played with some tudor toys which were very different to the toys that we play with at home and at school!
