Today the Year 4 class attended a skipping festival at St Thomas More School. They met children from 5 other schools and competed in many different individual and group skipping competitions. The children had been practising their new tricks with their fantastic coaches Mr Forster and Mrs Wilders and it certainly payed off! Some children participated in individual skipping challenges such as the ‘speed bounce’ and ‘the pretzel’. Others tried Partnership challenges like ‘face-to-face’ and ‘butterfly’. The remaining children participated in tricky team challenges such as ‘keep the pot boiling’. All of the children gave the festival their all and many skipped away with a bronze, silver or gold certificate.
To end what was a fantastic morning, it was announced that we had won overall first place at the skipping event! Congratulations Year 4!
