Year 4 became master chefs for the day! We continued to investigate our Shang Dynasty topic by thinking about the types of food people would eat during this time in China. We decided to look mainly at what peasant farmers would eat. We thought of all of the different foods and decided to cook some millet porridge with star anise and a typical stir-fry which included pak-choi and ginger. We chopped all the food ourselves and prepared all of the ingredients using our measuring skills. The food was delicious and we were amazed at how good it could taste with simple ingredients.
