Story sticks

Year Six have been making story sticks. After collecting a dead stick they shaved it carefully, saving the bark for firelighting when it dries. Once the stick was shaved, they brought to mind a story that they wanted to remember. The sticks were then divided into sections and decorated with patterns, colours and symbols to represent the sections of the story.
