Key Stage 1 fun with computers

Who could have guessed you could play a paper piano! On Wednesday, Key Stage 1 took part in a computer workshop delivered by Gateshead Library. The children discussed what an algorithm was along with how to make a complete circuit. Using the Makey Makey mini computer, an A4 sized piano, Scratch and the Makey Makey website, the children were able to produce different sounds by simply touching different parts of the paper piano. This was a great way for the children to discover how algorithms and complete circuits work.
