Yesterday we were lucky enough to get the opportunity to cook with Chef Nick Fairley. We made scrumptious shepherds pie, a regional dish. We had to chop up lots of different vegetables including carrots and onion. Whilst cooking, Nick taught us some Geordie phrases ‘Bait’, ‘Yhem’ and ‘Ket’. Most of us had heard of some of them, however Miss McMullen hadn’t heard of any!
